Jungles of the Serpent

Dense jungle south of the Latan Swamp, where lizardfolk and serpentfolk make their homes in the trees and deep foliage. Shamanistic tribes guard hidden temple pyramids — ruins containing ancient artifacts and ongoing rituals. The pyramids are heavily trapped. Travelers who enter without local knowledge do not generally leave.

The Jungles are a manifestation of the Mother of Monsters' territorial reach. They have always been hers. What has changed in 4724–4725 is that they are expanding. Iceflame's disruption of the divine compact removed one of the boundary conditions that kept the Mother's domain contained. The treeline is moving north.
