- Clarify whether the Empire of the East was geographically eastern in Maelia, eastern in Ardentis, or eastern relative to the other two great powers.
- Define the snake people's imperial identity: sorcerer-kings, temple dynasts, demon pacts, dragon courts, or something stranger.
- Identify how their cities were destroyed, how complete their eradication really was, and what role the later frog peoples have in inheriting their drowned lands.
