The Great Divide
Definition
The Great Divide is Iceflame's long-game destabilization strategy: splinter regional power centers, weaponize old grudges, and synchronize crises around ritual milestones.
Strategic Intent
- Break military and trade continuity between the Northern City-States and the Ulek imperial core.
- Turn the Wildlands corridor into a controlled fracture zone through layered coercion and subversion.
- Use symbolic operational language to coordinate cells while obscuring intent from outside observers.
Active Components
- Giant unification pressure in the north.
- Pirate-state escalation centered on Highport.
- Slave Lord infiltration along Eastern Shores routes.
- Temple reactivation as the metaphysical keystone.
Campaign Status
The strategy is in acceleration phase during the winter of 4724 AR (current winter season), with delayed information flow masking the true scale of collapse.
Current Phase — The Final Target
Phase 5 is complete: Highport (Islandgate in cult framing) fell to the Slavelords in winter 4724. The campaign is now in Phase 6 — the final conquest strike intended to lock the divide line permanently.
The Phase 6 target is Nordwall (Frost-Anvil in cult framing). Described in the Testament as "the hammer falls" — the northern anchor that, once taken, severs all continuity between the Dwarven League cities and the Ulek south. Nordwall survived the initial Slavelord attack from occupied Highport. It has not yet fallen. The window for that to change is open.
