Overview
Inside one of the tallest peaks on Ardentis lives a small, secret dwarven city founded by the dwarves who chose to stay among the human settlers rather than travel north to join the League cities. They are deep traditionalists — more conservative in practice than even the League — and have made their mountain home a center of Dwarfather scholarship and cross-cultural diplomacy.
Aradar
The peak is named after Aradar, a legendary dwarven settler who undertook the monumental task of mapping the entire mountain range from the Waterwall eastward. His journey culminated in the climb of this peak. Aradar was the kind of figure both humans and dwarves point to as a symbol of what cooperation between their peoples can achieve.
The Monastery Function
Aradar's Peak hosts human monks who come to learn the ways of the Dwarfather. This institution was essential in the post-settlement era — it provided the cultural bridge that enabled stable diplomatic relations between the human and dwarven civilizations.
The tradition continues in 4724. Monks who complete study here return to their communities as genuine scholars of dwarven theology and custom.
